Questions, answered
Is there really a free plan?+
Yes. The Free plan is free forever and includes 5 forms, 100 responses per month, conditional logic, repeatable sections, file uploads and API access. Upgrade to Pro when you need more volume, approval workflows or webhooks.
How do approval workflows work?+
For any question you define the expected answer (for example “Years of experience is at least 3”), how many points it is worth and whether it is a must-have. When a response arrives it is scored instantly and marked approved if it meets your minimum score and passes every must-have. You choose whether respondents see the result and their score.
Can I restrict which file types people upload?+
Yes. For each file question you pick the allowed formats (for example PDF and DOCX only, or any image), the maximum number of files and the maximum size. Files are verified by their actual content, not just the extension.
Can I use forms through the API instead of the UI?+
Absolutely. Create API keys with exactly the scopes you need, then create forms, submit responses and fetch results with simple JSON over HTTPS. Pro plans add signed webhooks so your systems are notified in real time.
What is the difference between Normal and Developer mode?+
Both dashboards manage the same forms. Normal mode keeps things visual and simple. Developer mode adds form IDs, a JSON schema editor, API keys, webhooks, request logs and ready-to-paste code samples.
Is my data secure?+
Respondent answers and files are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, API keys are stored as keyed hashes, every request is rate limited, and administrators cannot read your responses. You can export or delete your data whenever you like.
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes. Subscriptions are handled securely by Clerk Billing. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from your billing page at any time and keep Pro until the end of the paid period.
Can I embed forms on my website?+
Yes. Every form has a share link and an embed snippet you can paste into any website, CMS or landing page builder.
